Was it a British baking show by chance? This style would be perfect for a comic.
He kind of reminds me of Martian Manhunter for some reason. I think it's his facial features and yellow, blue, red, and green clothing.

Really nice! It makes me think of a Vermeer still life / interior scene with the dark lighting and deep red of the berries.

I really like the way you did the framed background.

Cool dude. I like the style you've got going on. What brush are you using? Is it like an oil brush in sketchbook pro? The effect is pretty interesting.
The only part that looks a little suspect are the ear pieces. It doesn't feel totally consistent with the lighting.
